DMC Canada did not hold a DJ Team Championship in Canada in 2007.

The DMC DJ teams battle is open to all DJs. Mixed nationality is allowed. Please note DJ teams accepted are responsible for their own travel and accommodation expenses.

DJ TEAMS BATTLE RULES
• A team must consist of a minimum of two (2) DJs to a maximum of four (4) DJs. At least one member of the team should be a legal resident of Canada.

Each competing Team is permitted to use :
- A minimum of two (2) to a maximum of six (6) Technics turntables
- A maximum of four (4) audio mixers with no effects
- Ortofon cartridges and stylus
- Vinyl records

Technics SL-1200 /1210 turntables will be supplied at the DJ Teams Battle.
Competing teams must supply their own mixers (no effects).
Any model of Ortofon cartridges and stylus are permitted and must be supplied by the competitors.
Competitors must supply their own records, slipmats and headphones.

Each competing team will be allowed a period of exactly six (6) minutes to compete.

• In the event of a stoppage, the following rules are to apply:
- If the stoppage is due to equipment failure due to no fault of the competing team then the team is to be allowed to perform the whole six (6) minutes set again.
- If the stoppage is due to equipment failure due to the fault of the competing team then the team will be allowed to readjust the equipment and restart the set from when the equipment faulted. The team may start the set from the beginning but the time will recommence from when the competing team stopped, no extra time will be permitted.

Team Champions: Stylusts

Drastik, Kid SL & T-Wrecks of Ottawa's Stylusts crew will be representing Canada at the 2006 DMC WORLD DJ Teams Championship on September 10th in London, England during the 2006 DMC World Finals. This year, the new DMC WORLD TEAM CHAMPIONS take home an additional $10,000 in prize money courtesy of Ortofon.
