The 2001 Technics / DMC DJ
Championships Canadian Final took place August 16th at Barrymore's
Music Hall in Ottawa. This had to be the hottest
Final in Canadian history...in more ways than one. The air conditioning
unit died the day before & the club was unable to have it operational for
our event. Temperatures rose to 42° (C) - 108° (F) with almost 100%
humidity. It was so hot that when we left the club we were completely
soaked as if we had stood in a pouring shower with all our clothes on. But
in spite of the temperature DMC Canada had a memorable competition. :-)
DJ Illo dropped the illest beats on the club system
and the night was hosted by
Montreal's Pat Wreck & Revolution.
