The DMC Battle for Canadian Supremacy conducted in the tradition of
the old school style Head to Head Battles in which 2 DJs pair off and battle
each other, with only one DJ
progressing through to the next round.
The 2001 DMC Battle for Canadian Supremacy opened the first annual New Muzik Festival
that also featured D12 (Eminem’s band), U.K. jungle DJ Aphrodite, Italian
trance DJ Mauro Picotto, American dj/ producer/ remixer, Claude Young,
Montreal’s Nuclear Ramjet playing live and Toronto’s own Freaky Flow and MC
Flipside (both playing DJ sets).
DJ Dopey the 2000 Supremacy Champion defended his title
and became the Supremacy Champion for a second year in a row..
