Canadian DMC Final
On May 3rd, 1997 Montreal witnessed the most memorable DJ competition up
to date. Over 2,000 enthusiastic fans jammed Club Metropolis to
watch the 1997 Technics DMC DJ Championship Canadian Final. The
evening kicked off with an amazing display of turntable wizardry by
special guest, the legendary DJ Q-Bert. Eleven DJs from
Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto & Montreal were there to try their best to
become the 1997 Canadian Champ. We were also very honoured to have
International director of DMC, Tony Prince, from England, attend
our Canadian Final.

 Well, we all now know that fifteen year old DJ A-Trak, our 1997
Canadian Champion went on to represent at the World Final, like no
other! On June 8th, DJ A-Trak stunned the world by winning
first place and the coveted gold turntables in Rimini, Italy.
