DMC Canada DJ Championship |

During the early years of our Canadian DJ Championships
there were
less Elimination heats per year. In 1995 we
only had
two Eliminations before the Final. The top three placing DJs of these
elimination competed at the 1996 Technics DMC Canadian Final.
Although the number of DJs competing wasn't many the high caliber of these
pioneers of turntablism set a high standard for future turntablists in
Canada.
The Montreal Elimination was held November 23, 1995 at the Dome.

The 1996 Technics
DMC Canadian Final
was held March 10th at the Oz Nightclub in Toronto.
The chilly winter weather did not stop turntablist fans to line-up to
witness this historic DMC event. w/Special Showcase by: Roc Raida

The 1st Place winner of the 1996 Technics
Canadian DJ Championship Final was D-Scratch
from Toronto's Turnstylez Crew. D-Scratch represented Canada at the
1996 DMC World Final held in June in Rimini, Italy.
